As part of the program held within the scope of the International Bee and Beekeeping Industry Conference and Exhibition, Mr. Suat Parıldar, Istanbul Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, who attended the event alongside Istanbul Deputy Governor Mr. Cengiz Karabulut, emphasized the importance of beekeeping in terms of agricultural sustainability, ecosystem balance, and the preservation of biodiversity during his speech.

In this significant event, attended by representatives of authorized institutions, academics, and business leaders from Turkey and Iran—two of the world’s leading countries in honey production—three main themes were addressed: Beekeeping, Investment, and Smart Transformation.

Hosted by Istanbul Nişantaşı University and organized in collaboration with the Iranian Nutrition Research Institute, the 1st International Bee and Beekeeping Industry Conference has become a key platform for strengthening knowledge and experience sharing while fostering sectoral cooperation.

The conference was attended by Mr. Ahmad Mohammadi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul; Mr. Cengiz Karabulut, Deputy Governor of Istanbul; and Mr. Suat Parıldar, Istanbul Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry.

In the opening speeches, the strategic importance of the beekeeping sector was emphasized in relation to sustainable development, food safety, and environmental balance.
