Hosted by Istanbul Nişantaşı University and organized in collaboration with the Iranian Institute of Nutrition Research, the “1st International Bee and Beekeeping Industry Conference” became a significant platform for enhancing knowledge and experience sharing and encouraging sectoral cooperation.
High-Level Attendance and Opening Remarks
The conference was attended by the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul, Mr. Ahmad Mohammadi, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Mr. Cengiz Karabulut, and Istanbul Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Suat Parıldar. In the opening speeches, the strategic importance of the beekeeping sector in terms of sustainable development, food security, and environmental balance was emphasized.
This significant event brought together representatives of relevant institutions, academics, and business leaders from Turkey and Iran—two leading countries in global honey production. Three main themes were discussed: “Beekeeping,” “Investment,” and “Smart Transformation.”
